Goalkeeper Ready Stance
Prepare for a ball with stable footwork and soft hands.
What you will learn
Prepare for a ball with stable footwork and soft hands. This TRAINOVIX lesson shows a simple setup, a specific practice action and a way to notice your progress without rushing.
Practice step by step
- Warm up gently with easy touches in a clear playing space.
- Use a light ball, a partner and plenty of space.
- Stand balanced, bend the knees gently and catch easy throws at chest height.
- Reset your position after each throw.
- Repeat a few controlled passes or touches, then try a new angle when comfortable.
Coaching tips
- Start with slow gentle throws, never hard shots.
- Look up between touches and give teammates enough space.
How to progress
Start with the simplest version of the activity. Give yourself enough time to learn the movement, ask for feedback when useful, and choose a more challenging variation only when your practice feels comfortable and controlled.
