Crossover Timing
Change the ball from one hand to the other with control.
What you will learn
Change the ball from one hand to the other with control. This TRAINOVIX lesson shows a simple setup, a specific practice action and a way to notice your progress without rushing.
Practice step by step
- Prepare on a dry, uncluttered court and start at a comfortable pace.
- Stand in a clear space with feet comfortably apart.
- Bounce the ball low across the front of your body and receive with the opposite hand.
- Keep your eyes up briefly after each controlled bounce.
- Practise a few calm repetitions and gradually vary the angle only when ready.
Coaching tips
- Smooth timing matters more than speed.
- Keep control and awareness of other players on the court.
How to progress
Start with the simplest version of the activity. Give yourself enough time to learn the movement, ask for feedback when useful, and choose a more challenging variation only when your practice feels comfortable and controlled.
