Doubles Communication
Use simple calls to prevent confusion in doubles.
What you will learn
Use simple calls to prevent confusion in doubles. This TRAINOVIX lesson shows a simple setup, a specific practice action and a way to notice your progress without rushing.
Practice step by step
- Make sure the court is clear and everyone has room for racket swings.
- Stand with a partner and mark both sides of the court.
- Practise calling mine or yours before receiving gentle feeds.
- Switch roles and discuss who covers each area.
- Repeat a few slow feeds before attempting a more demanding variation.
Coaching tips
- Clear calls and safe spacing come first.
- Comfortable timing is more important than swinging harder.
How to progress
Start with the simplest version of the activity. Give yourself enough time to learn the movement, ask for feedback when useful, and choose a more challenging variation only when your practice feels comfortable and controlled.
