Court Rotation Basics
Understand team positions and rotation order.
What you will learn
Understand team positions and rotation order. This TRAINOVIX lesson shows a simple setup, a specific practice action and a way to notice your progress without rushing.
Practice step by step
- Begin with gentle ball movements in a clear, shared practice area.
- Use floor markers for six positions.
- Walk through the serving rotation with teammates while naming each new position.
- Check everyone's place before the next practice point.
- Repeat easy feeds, then try the movement with teammates when ready.
Coaching tips
- Learn the rule variation used by your group.
- Call early and keep enough room for everyone to move.
How to progress
Start with the simplest version of the activity. Give yourself enough time to learn the movement, ask for feedback when useful, and choose a more challenging variation only when your practice feels comfortable and controlled.
