Set Shot Balance
Build a repeatable, comfortable shooting setup.
What you will learn
Build a repeatable, comfortable shooting setup. This TRAINOVIX lesson shows a simple setup, a specific practice action and a way to notice your progress without rushing.
Practice step by step
- Prepare on a dry, uncluttered court and start at a comfortable pace.
- Stand close to the basket with feet balanced.
- Place your shooting hand under the ball, guide with the other and follow through gently toward the hoop.
- Observe whether your feet stay stable and the ball travels smoothly.
- Practise a few calm repetitions and gradually vary the angle only when ready.
Coaching tips
- Start close rather than forcing long shots.
- Keep control and awareness of other players on the court.
How to progress
Start with the simplest version of the activity. Give yourself enough time to learn the movement, ask for feedback when useful, and choose a more challenging variation only when your practice feels comfortable and controlled.
